I would like to congratulate Cora Coffman's granddaughter Jordan, who has been accepted at the Air Force Academy, starting this June. This is quite an honor. Jordan is the daughter of Cecil and Lana Coffman of Trinidad, CO. Once again, Congrats Jordan and best wishes on your future endeavors.
Cora Coffman and I went to Garden City last Thursday for some shopping and eating out. That evening, we went over to Deerfield, KS and watched the Plainview girls and boys basketball teams play ball.
Cora Coffman’s sister Sally Bradstreet from Scott City, KS came to visit her on Saturday. They went on to Wiley to visit family there.
Cora, Sally and their sister-in-law, Elsie went into Lamar for lunch.
The Plainview High School Knowledge Bowl teams and their sponsor Ruth Fees, traveled to Springfield, CO last Friday to compete.
Noe Janes, daughter of Chris and Kami Janes celebrated her 6th birthday at her home in Rocky Ford, CO on Saturday. Family coming to help her celebrate were her grandparents, Monte and Linda Stum; Uncle Kirbi Stum and children; great grandparents, Linly and Sherell Stum and cousins Savannah, Cauy and Katelyn Stum. Happy 6th birthday Noe.
Last Friday, Susan Greenfield had lunch with Tina Kraft in Eads. After lunch, they visited Tina's mom. On Saturday, Susan traveled to Eads to attend the wrestling tournament.
I would like to send special congratulations to Clinton and Wilma Evans on the celebration of their 68th wedding anniversary this past Monday, Jan.30th. This many married years are almost never heard of anymore. Clint and Wilma lived in Towner for lots of years before moving to Oklahoma. Warmest regards!
