Cora Coffman, Susan Greenfield and Jeanie Smith went to Granada last Tuesday evening to watch Ryan Koeller play basketball with the Granada Bobcats. On Thursday, Cora went to Cheyenne Wells to watch the basketball game between Cheyenne Wells and Holly, the number 1 and 2 teams. It was exciting with Holly coming out the winner. Cora stayed the night at her daughter, Sheila Brase's home and tended to some business before coming home on Friday.
On Saturday, Ruth Fees and Susan Greenfield went to Lamar shopping and then back to Plainview for their basketball game against the Holly JV team. The girls basketball games were cancelled this past week due to numerous injuries that left them short of enough girls to play.
Plainview held their Winter Festival on Saturday with the crowning of King and Queen at half time of the boys game. Josh Blodgett was elected King and Marcella Fehr the Queen. Caydance Lang was the flower girl and Logan Spruiell was the crown bearer. Before the game started the Senior athletes, Josh Blodgett and Ryan Koeller and their parents were recognized and honored. Congratulations to all!
The Plainview grade school traveled to Tribune, KS last Wednesday to see the "Wizard of Oz". They really enjoyed it.
