Our communities would like to extend their condolences to the
family of Lloyd O'Neil. Lloyd passed away on Saturday after a short
illness.
Wasn't the rain a blessing. Quite a large area benefited from the moisture, ranging from 1 1/4 to 2". Everything is already starting to green up.
Several track meets and ball games were postponed because of the rain. Most of these will be rescheduled for a future time.
Weekend before last, Linda Cochran and her son Ryan came to spend a few days with her parents, Denis and Theresa Weber and her brother Jerry and his son Quinton. Quinton and Ryan had a good time riding their dirt bikes.
Carol Shalberg went to Lamar to her grandson Brock Shalberg's home last week to help her great granddaughter, Hope Shalberg celebrate her 1st birthday. Happy Birthday Hope. On Thursday, Carol's son, Steve took her to Colorado Springs to see her Dr and do a little shopping.
Week before last, Larry and Barb Gitchel were guests of Larry and Judy Tuttle on several occasions to play marbles and have supper with them. The four of them visited with Bernice Tuttle in Sharon Springs on Monday and Denis and Theresa Weber joined the four of them for supper and visiting on Thursday evening at Larry and Judy's home.
A week ago Tuesday, Barb Gitchel and Susan Greenfield joined Cora Coffman, Judy Tuttle and I when we went to Lamar for our TOPS meeting and a surprise birthday party for Cora Coffman.
A week ago Saturday, Cora Coffman's family: Jeff and Sheila Brase; Cecil, Lana and Jordan Coffman; Anthony and Erica Kern and children and Sonny and Kelli Chavez hosted a Surprise 80th Birthday Party for her at Plainview School. A large crowd attended and she enjoyed all of her extended family and friends that came and made her day extra special.

Vern and JoAnn Harris went to Eads on Sunday to see their newest great granddaughter, Monroe Frey. Monroe is the daughter of Benny and Cassie Frey.
The Plainview Community Club Spring Craft Show which was held at Plainview School on Saturday was well attended. Lots of goodies available to buy and the Sophomore class had concessions and the cheerleaders had baked goods for sale.
A large crowd attended the Wedding Reception for Seth and Seija Splitter on Sunday afternoon at the Sheridan Lake Bible Church. Once again, we wish the newlyweds all the best!!
Evan and Jen Hopkins and children spent last weekend in Woodston, KS visiting family and friends.
Cheri Hopkins helped with the Greeley County Health Fair in Tribune this past Saturday.
