Assessment Appeals Board

The State Board of Assessment Appeals hears appeals filed by real and personal property owners on the valuation placed on their property.  

for term expiring June 30, 2024:

  • Monte Mullins of Alamosa, Colorado, reappointed;
  • John DeRungs of Denver, Colorado, reappointed;
  • Claudia Crane of Crestone, Colorado, reappointed;
  • Diane DeVries of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, reappointed;
  • Jess Ketchum of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, reappointed;

effective July 1, 2023 for a term expiring June 30, 2027:

Colorado Beef Council Authority Board of Directors

The Colorado Beef Council Authority works to promote the increased consumption of Colorado beef.  The Board researches beef production methods, advancements and other matters with economic impacts upon the beef industry and makes this information available to interested parties.

for terms expiring July 1, 2027:

  • Joanie Shoemaker of Parker, Colorado to serve as a representative of beef marketing, reappointed;
  • Kris Musgrave of Wiggins, Colorado to serve as a representative of beef marketing, appointed.

Colorado Interagency Coordinating Council

The Colorado Interagency Coordinating Council advises the Colorado Department of Human Services on implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 which relates to supports and services for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families.

  • Cassandra Foster of Berthoud, Colorado, to serve as a parent of a child receiving early
  • intervention services, appointed;
  • Elizabeth Lyles of Trinidad, Colorado, to serve as a parent of a child receiving early

Judicial Performance Commissions

There are 23 judicial performance commissions serving the State of Colorado: one State Commission and 22 District Commissions.  The State Commission evaluates the performance of Supreme Court Justices and Court of Appeals Judges, and the District Commissions evaluate District Court and County Court Judges. Commissioners evaluate judges during two different cycles: retention and interim.

Ninth Judicial District Judicial Performance Commission

for a term expiring November 30, 2025:

  • Yesenia Silva Estrada of Silt, Colorado, to serve as a non-attorney member, occasioned by the resignation of Elizabeth Velasco of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, appointed.

Parks and Wildlife Commission

The Parks and Wildlife Commission is responsible for perpetuating the wildlife resources of the state, providing a quality state parks system and providing enjoyable and sustainable outdoor recreations opportunities that educate and inspire current and future generations to serve as active stewards of Colorado natural resources.

for terms expiring July 1, 2027: 

  • Jess Beaulieu of Denver, Colorado to serve as a representative of outdoor recreation and parks utilization, appointed; 
  • John (Jack) Murphy of Aurora, Colorado to serve as a representative of outdoor recreation and parks utilization, appointed; 
  • Gary Skiba of Durango, Colorado to serve as a representative of sportspersons, and a member West of the Continental Divide, appointed. 

State Board of Landscape Architects

The Board of Landscape Architects is charged with the examination and licensing of landscape architects in the state. 

effective August 5, 2023 for terms expiring August 4, 2027:

  • Jonathan Romero, PLA of Peyton, Colorado, a licensed architect with at least three years of experience in the practice of landscape architecture, and a resident of the state of Colorado, reappointed;
  • Zoe Hill, NP, PhD of Lakewood, Colorado, not a licensed landscape architect nor practicing landscape architecture in any jurisdiction; does not have a current or prior significant personal or financial interest in the practice of landscape architecture; and a resident of the state of Colorado and a landscape contractor, appointed.

State Board of Stock Inspection Commissioners

The State Board of Stock Inspection Commissioners makes rules regarding brand inspection and livestock laws and regulates fees for stock inspections.  The board also sets service charges and procedures, administers the Estray Fund, licenses public livestock markets, and secures bond and surety on butchers and slaughters.

for terms expiring May 1, 2027:

  • Natalie Rogers of Yuma, Colorado, to serve as a representative of the confinement cattle industry, appointed;
  • Steven Wooten of Kim, Colorado, to serve as a representative of the non-confinement cattle industry, appointed.

State Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Advisory Council (SEMTAC)

SEMTAC advises the Department of Public Health and Environment on matters relating to emergency medical and trauma services programs.  The Council’s duties include developing curricula for the training of emergency medical personnel, establishing requirements for ambulance vehicles and services, and determining the eligibility of facilities to receive trauma center designation.

for terms expiring July 1, 2026:

  • Richard Cornelius of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, to serve as a fire chief that provides
  • prehospital care in a rural area, reappointed;
  • Commissioner Etta Jean Sykes of McClave, Colorado, to serve as a county commissioner from a rural county, reappointed;
  • Dr. Eric Campion of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a board-certified surgeon providing
  • trauma care at a Level 1 trauma center, reappointed;
  • Rachel Smith of Hugo, Colorado, to serve as a trauma nurse coordinator, reappointed;
  • Dr. Jeremy DeWall of Woodland Park, Colorado, to serve as a board certified emergency physician, reappointed;
  • Scott Fitzgerald of Olathe, Colorado, to serve as an employee of a public provider of
  • prehospital care, appointed;
  • Tracy Lauzon of Aurora, Colorado, to serve as a member of the general public from an
  • urban area, appointed;
  • George Solomon of Fort Collins, Colorado, to serve as an employee of a private provider of prehospital care, appointed.
