Jumbo Reservoir is closed to trailered, motorized boating until April 24.
"CPW is always interested in helping recreationists get out and enjoy the outdoors," said Todd Schmidt, area wildlife manager from Brush. "However the safety and health of water will always be our top concern and must be addressed to continue recreation opportunities."
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is working closely with the Julesburg Irrigation District and will reopen with ANS inspectors at Jumbo on Monday, April 24. The hours for inspections will be:
--Friday to Monday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
--Tuesday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
May 15, the hours will change to 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset, 7 days a week, when an additional inspector joins the team.  Motorized boats will not be allowed on the water when inspectors are not present at Jumbo.
