Sunday, January 01, 2017, at approximately 1540 hours, a Kiowa County Sheriff’s Deputy contacted a vehicle for speeding 118 Miles per Hour on Highway 287 at approximately mile marker 117. Deputies spoke with the driver, Lovell Rollins. Rollins was charged with CRS 42-4-1101, speeding 118 Miles Per hour in a 65 Mile per Hour Zone. Rollins was transported to the Prowers County Jail and held on a $750 bond.

Saturday, January 07, 2016, at approximately 1448 hours, a Kiowa County Sheriff’s Deputy contacted a vehicle for speeding 93 miles per hour in a posted 65 mile per hour zone at approximately mile marker 177 on Highway 96. The driver, Luis Gonzalez, (DOB 12/02/1993) was issued Summons for: CRS 42-4-1101(1) Speeding 93 mph in a 65 mph zone.

Sunday, January 08, 2017 at approximately 1324 hours, a Kiowa County Sheriff’s Deputy contacted a vehicle for speeding 92 miles per hour in a posted 65 mile per hour zone at approximately mile marker 100 on U.S. Highway 287. The driver, Michael Griffin (DOB 11-13-1992), was issued Summons for: CRS 42-4-1101(1) Speeding 92 mph in a 65 mph zone.

Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at approximately 1735 hours, a Kiowa County Sheriff’s Deputy contacted a vehicle on 10^th Street and Goff Street in Eads. The driver, Fredrick Turner’s Driver’s License was revoked for alcohol related offences. Turner was charged with CRS 42-2-138(1)(d)(I), Drove motor/off highway vehicle when license under restraint (revoked). He was transported to the Prowers County Jail and held on a $10,000 bond.

Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
