Notice of Election

(§§ 1-13.5-510 and 1-13.5-502, C.R.S.)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the organizational election of the proposed Sheridan Lake Water District will be held by independent mail ballot election on the 1st day of August, 2016 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Ballots will be mailed between July 11, 2016 and July 15, 2016.  The purpose of the election is for the organization of the Sheridan Lake Water District, to decide the members of the initial board of directors and the length of their terms, to decide if board members may serve without limitation on their terms of office, and on the incurrence of multiyear debt.  There are no bonds, mill levies or other taxes proposed to be implemented at this election.   The candidates for the initial Board of Directors are Timothy J. Harris, Rick L. Harris, Garold Deines, Merle Shalberg, and Robert G. Weber.   The projected operating cost for the first year is approximately $24,750.  Projected revenue from water sales is approximately $40,300.  Projected spending and debt incurred by securing government loans for needed capital improvements is approximately $1,039,000.00.
