• At 5 pm on Saturday, October 22, join ranger Mario Medina at the Plains Theater in Eads as he presents a free historic lecture on Hispanic involvement in the Sand Creek Massacre.

• The 19th annual “Colorado…it’s AgriCultural” photography contest is seeking entries as a way to celebrate the state’s agricultural heritage Entries must be submitted to the Colorado Department of Agriculture via e-mail with an official entry form by December 31, 2016 Visit  for complete contest rules and an entry form

Santa Fe Trail Association Events

Saturday, October 22nd, the Quivira Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail Association and the McPherson Museum and Arts Foundation will present Buffalo & More, with events for both adults and children
