• The Kiowa County Republican party will hold their organizational meeting on Monday, February 6, 7:00 pm at the Bank Meeting Room in Eads. The purpose of this meeting is to elect party officers for the county for a 2 year team, appoint necessary committees, and address any other business brought forward by committee members. The public is welcome to attend this meeting, but will not have voting privileges.

• Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site will be closed on Wednesday, February 8, and Thursday, February 9, 2017 for annual staff and administrative planning purposes. This will include both the park, near Chivington, and the park’s administrative office in Eads. Both the park and the administrative office will reopen Friday, February 10 at 9 am

• Eads All School Reunion meeting, Sunday, February 12, at 2:00 at the Kiowa County Abstract Office.     Everyone interested,  please  plan to attend……

• Weisbrod Hospital Auxiliary meeting February 14th at 11:00 a.m. for lunch in the J J’s Ranch House dining room.

• Eads Senior Center is the site for Meals on Wheels prepared by Sage Services in Lamar.  They are delivered HOT to Eads two days a week.   Contact Areta Laird for more information

• LEAP (Low-Income Energy Assistance Program) runs from November 1, 2016 through April 30, 2017. You may only apply and be approved one time in this period. Contact Ashlynn Miner at Kiowa County Social Services (438-5541) for more information
