Bent's Fort Chapter
The February 11th meeting of the Bent's Fort Chapter will also include the chapter's popular "book exchange". Everyone is invited to bring books that he would like to lend, give away, or recommend. Tables will be set up in the main meeting room to display the books. Anyone who loans books is responsible for keeping track of them. Missouri River Outfitters
Save the date...the MRO chapter will celebrate National Trails Day on June 3, 2017, with a joint meeting of the Trails Head Chapter of Oregon and California Trails Association and the Kansas City Area Historic Trails Association. The event will take place at Lone Elm Campground Park. More details and contact information will be published here as they become available.
Wagon Bed Spring
After a year or so of transitions, this chaper is raring to go in 2017! New officers are bring selected and activities are being planned. A big boost in membership would be helpful. Douglas County Chapter
Saturday, February 25th, Annual Covered-Dish Supper. Meet at First United Methodist Church, Baldwin City, Kansas, corner of 8th and Grove. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall starting at 5:00 pm for a social period and meal starting at 5:30 PM. Short business meeting starting at 6:15 and the program starting at 6:30 pm.
Our speaker for the evening is Mr. Craig Vorhees and his topic is entitled "The Army of the West Strikes the Santa Fe Trail". The chapter will provide the meat and drinks, please bring a covered dish or dessert for the group. Open to the public.
