Weather Outlook – the Week Ahead

Somewhat cooler and unsettled weather makes an appearance in Kiowa County for the week.

Monday will start off with a high in the mid-70s and 20-25 mile-per-hour winds continuing to midnight. Gusts could reach 35 mph.

For the remainder of the work week, highs will be in the 60s, with overnight lows in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Tuesday and Thursday nights offer the best chance of precipitation. There is a slight chance of a rain/snow mix Tuesday night, with a stronger chance of showers Thursday night into Friday. This could become a wide-spread system bringing a chance of rain across the area, and more snow to the southern mountains.

Watch for a cooler weekend as daytime temperatures drop to the upper 50s. We will have an update later in the week.
