CHEYENNE COUNTY ASSESSOR'S OFFICE

The Cheyenne County Assessor's office in Cheyenne Wells, CO is accepting applications for a full time Deputy Assessor.  This is a 35-hour per week (Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm) position with excellent health and retirement benefits, paid time off with possible step pay increases and bonus incentives. Starting pay depends on qualifications and experience, but may range from $12.75-$13.75/hour starting. This job is open until filled.

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive. Applicants must possess general office experience and have a working and proficient knowledge of computers, software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) to meet the demands of the position. Job consists of assisting with clerical and administrative assignments, dealing directly with the public, and repetitive or multi-tasking duties.  

The ideal candidate is a problem solver, detail-oriented, hardworking, dependable, eager to learn, and knowledgeable with mathematical principals and calculations. Candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, property owners, professional representatives, other employees, and the general public. Candidate should also be able to prioritize work and research information to complete work efficiently.
