The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has been asked to investigate an officer-involved shooting which happened in Park County Thursday.

Around 7:50 p.m., Park County Sheriff's Office deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on CSH 285 near Bailey when the driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser failed to stop and began driving at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.  A short pursuit was ended to protect the public from the suspect's erratic and dangerous driving.

Deputies later located the vehicle in a ditch following a search of Highway 285 near Grant.
