I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend.  I didn't have an article last week, because I didn't want to bother people when they had company and me and the Easter Bunny had other things to do.

Dick, Kyle and I joined my mom, Mary Huddleston; my brothers Mike and Larry and a niece Kerri Bayne and her family for lunch in Lamar on Easter Sunday.

Kelvin, Amy, Alex and Mikayla Schmidt and Freda Schmidt were Easter Sunday dinner guests in the home of Bryan and Dorcas Berggren.

Dick and I would like to send a very special Happy Birthday wish to our son, Mark, who turned 49 last Friday.  If our children keep getting older, they will soon catch up with us. (Ha-Ha).

Cora Coffman attended the Junior High track meet in Cheyenne Wells on Thursday to watch her great-grandson, Weslee compete.

This is Holy week, a quote from Matthew 26:54  "When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"

Our communities would like to extend their condolences to the

family of Lloyd O'Neil. Lloyd passed away on Saturday after a short

illness.

Wasn't the rain a blessing. Quite a large area benefited from the moisture, ranging from 1 1/4 to 2". Everything is already starting to green up.

Several track meets and ball games were postponed because of the rain. Most of these will be rescheduled for a future time.
