Temperatures across Kiowa County will be a few degrees warmer than Monday, with wind continuing Tuesday.

Look for highs in the low 80s, with the Arlington area potentially reaching the mid-80s, under mostly sunny skies throughout the day. 

Light morning winds out of the south are expected to shift to the north later in the day. Gusts to 20 miles per hour are expected, though Haswell may see a few gusts to 30 mph, as a front drops across the area today.

Temperatures across Kiowa County Monday are expected to be 10 degrees warmer than Sunday's highs.

Skies will be mostly sunny throughout the day as the high temperature reaches the mid-70s for most of the county. Arlington could touch the 80s.

Winds will generally be out of the south, starting in the 5-10 mile per hour range Monday morning before increasing to 15-25 during the afternoon. Haswell and Towner could see gusts as high as 20 mph later in the day.

Tuesday is expected to see temperatures about 10 degrees cooler than Monday's highs, while overnight lows will drop only slightly.

A cold front has dropped into southeast Colorado, helping to lower temperatures below seasonal norms. 

Look for mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the low 70s. Winds will generally be out of the west with gusts to 20 miles per hour in most areas during the day. Western Kiowa County, including Arlington and Haswell, could see gusts as high as 35 mph by early evening.

First winter storm of the season Sunday in Colorado

Eastern Colorado will see its first noticeable snow storm of the season Sunday. Wind and blowing snow are expected across the region, with temperatures staying below freezing throughout the day.

The National Weather Service office in Pueblo has issued a winter storm warning for all of Las Animas and Huerfano counties, along with portions of Costilla, Alamosa, Saguache, Custer, Pueblo, Fremont and Chaffee counties. The warning will be in effect until 6:00 a.m. Monday for the southern portion of the region. Northern areas can expect the warning to end around 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
