|In December 2016, Kiowa County Sheriff's Deputies received a report of a stolen debit card. Deputies investigated the matter and conducted an arrest warrant for Identity Theft (Felony), protection order violation (Misdemeanor) and domestic violence for Christopher Riley. On Thursday, March 4, 2017 Deputies were notified that Pueblo County Sheriff's Office served the arrest warrant and took Riley into custody. Riley is currently out on bond.|
A man killed in a crash early Friday morning on Highway 287 north of Eads has been identified as Christopher W. Northcutt.
An additional arrest has been made involving the alleged sexual assault of an 8-year-old South Fork girl dating back to late 2015.
Helen Price, 56, was arrested in Moravia, Iowa, by deputies with the Appanoose County Sheriff's Office on Saturday. She is being held on multiple counts of sexual assault against a child and is awaiting extradition to Colorado. Price's bond is set at $150,000.
Multiple arrests have been made involving the alleged sexual assault of an 8-year-old South Fork girl dating back to late 2015.
In November 2016, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was requested by South Fork Police Chief Don McDonald to assist with a complex sexual assault investigation. Following an extensive investigation by the CBI and the South Fork Police Department, three arrests have been made involving incidents of sexual assault against a child.

Following a trial spanning nearly two weeks, a jury has found Dylan Eason guilty of Murder in the First Degree in the killing of Dr. Cynthia Campbell-Eason between April 28 and 29, 2016 at a home in Burlington.
Eason had been arrested and charged after an extensive investigation conducted by the Burlington Police Department, Kit Carson County Sheriff's Office, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and the Office of the District Attorney for the 13th Judicial District.
Kiowa County Sheriff's Office transported Kenneth Broussard from Huntsville Texas Correctional Facility to Prowers County Jail for a failure to comply warrant.
I-70 Closed Overnight

A Denver woman is being held after threatening to kill police in an incident started late Friday night in Elbert County.
According to the 18th Judicial District Attorney's office, Jasmine Faith Delores Johnson, 26, was contacted on Interstate 70 near Agate shortly after 11:00 p.m. Friday.
Johnson threatened to kill police officers, and shots were fired. No one was injured by the gunfire.
Johnson is being held without bond at the Arapahoe County Detention Center on a previous warrant out of Broomfield.
A San Angelo, Texas, man was sentenced to 78 months in prison this week for running two investment fraud schemes that defrauded investors out of approximately $900,000 over a four-year period, and obstructing a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigation.
Last week, Kiowa County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the vicinity of Kiowa County Roads 49 and C for a report of a person firing a gun.
Deputies contacted Steve Ransom of Brandon. Ransom had three motorcycles in the back of his vehicle which were identified as having been stolen. He was arrested for aggravated motor vehicle theft, and later bonded out.
A search warrant was executed later, and revealed 107 grams of methamphetamine in Ranson's vehicle, along with additional stolen items at his home.
