  • Wind-generated power has become a reality in southeast Colorado. The new wind farm near Lamar nears completion.
  • Wild Horse Roundup-Curtis Schrimp: New Year's Eve was pitch party time at our school house. There was a lot of good snack food that always goes over good.

  • Big Timbers Dirt Riders, Inc (BTDR) announced completion of plans to bring sanctioned motocross racing to Lamar.
  • Wild Horse Roundup-Curtis Schrimp: We have two cooks here and that really makes the place smell good.  Four kinds of cookies, zucchini bread, peanut butter fudge and I don't know what they are stirring up now, but it smells good.

  • Bowling: Shalberg Pumping had the most total pins in all divisions and won first place in their division. Members are Lenore Springer, Lamar, Barbara Wilson, Theresa Weber, and Carol Shalberg from Sheridan Lake.
  • Wild Horse Roundup-Curtis Schrimp: There was a road report on TV last night, given by Eric Escudero. Didn't show his face just his voice. It's nice that a local person has a job like that.
