BOARD MEETING
August 23, 2022
The Kiowa County Hospital District Board met in regular session on August 23, 2022, at 6:31 p.m. at Cobblestone Inn Meeting Room.
District Board members present were Pam Cole, Mary Eikner, Karl Eikenberg and Matt Prince. Absent - Doug Uhland.
Others present: Shannon Dixon, Rachel Bletzacker, Claire Prince, Abby Huff, Morgan King, Jeanette Filpi via zoom, and Beth Spady.
A special meeting held October 11, the Kiowa County Hospital District Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve the contract for the district's next CEO, Beth Bell.
Beth's projected start date is December 5, 2022. Ms. Bell and current interim CEO, Jeanette Filpi, MHA, will overlap to provide a smooth transition. Filpi's last day is projected to be December 16, 2022.
There are plans to have a pot-luck luncheon with all of the KCHD caregivers, board of directors and Axillary the first week of December.
At the Kiowa County District Board meeting Tuesday, the position of CEO was offered to Beth Bell.
It is not known if Bell accepted the position, and a contract will need to be negotiated.
Jeanette Filpi, for the past many months, has served as the Interim CEO.

Cindy Krei, welcome back to dietary!
We are expanding our business office personnel. Brandi Thompson and Dally Lessenden will cover the front office area; taking turns working the front desk while covering other duties for the fiscal services department. Braylynn Eder will be moving to the Annex.
The EMS Director, Russ Watson, will be moving into the HR office, to increase accessibility to this vital clinical department.
