BOARD MEETING - February 23, 2021

The Kiowa County Hospital District and County Board met in regular session on February 23, 2021 at 6:33 p.m. at Cobblestone Inn Meeting Room and via Zoom. 

District Board members present were: Mary Eikner, Sylvia Shields, Craig Kerfoot and Meghan Buck. Absent: Cathryn Anderson (called). 

Since Jennifer of JJ's Restaurant had a medical appointment, the ladies of the Weisbrod Hospital Auxiliary met April 13 in the home of Doris Lessenden.

Weisbrod Hospital Auxiliary members were glad to get together to hear reports and plan more projects. Those ladies attending were Cleta Englehardt, LaVerle Kelley, Diana Flory, Linda Trosper, Loretta Seibel, Alice Glover, Madonna Pollreis, Doris Lessenden, guest, Diane O'Brian, and Tanya Lane, Activity Director.

Doris and Loretta read the Secretary and Treasurer's Reports respectively which were approved, Diana Flory reported that she and Lola Igou audited the Treasurer's Books which were correct and in order.

BOARD MEETING

November 24, 2020

The Kiowa County Hospital District and County Board met in regular session on November 24, 2020 at 6:31 p.m. via Zoom.

District Board members present were: Mary Eikner, Sylvia Shields, and Meghan Buck. Absent: Cathryn Anderson (called).

County Board members present were: Ken Flory, Craig Kerfoot, Kevin Davis, Claire Prince and Dale Back.

Others present: Shannon Dixon, Char Korrell, Ellen Lane, Jessica Hyman, Renay Crain, and Beth

Kiowa County Hospital District will now allow patient visitation on a limited basis. 

• Visits must be scheduled in advance by calling the hospital and speaking to the nurse on duty. 
• Visits can be scheduled between the hours of 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. daily. Visits will be limited to one or two individuals at a time and will occur in a designated area of the hospital. 
• Visitors will be screened prior to the visit and must wear a mask. 
• Visits can be scheduled by calling Wiesbrod Hospital at 719-438-5401

COVID-19 vaccines are available to residents 70 years old or older. Call Ellen Lane at 719-438-5401 for an appointment to get your vaccine.

Kiowa County Hospital District & County Board Meeting October 27, 2020

The Kiowa County Hospital District and County Board met in regular session on October 27, 2020 at 6:31 p.m. at the Cobblestone Inn Meeting Room and also via Zoom. At this time, individuals can attend the meeting via Zoom or in person.

District Board members present were: Mary Eikner, Sylvia Shields, and Meghan Buck. Absent: Cathryn Anderson and Priscilla Waggoner (called).

Weisbrod Hospital in Eads, Kiowa County, Colorado, has joined a program to reduce the use of opiods in its Emergency Department.

NOTICE OF HEARING AS TO SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION

Notice is hereby given that a meeting will be held on December 29, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at the Kiowa County Hospital District Annex Building in Eads, Colorado to consider a Resolution for Supplemental Appropriation for the Kiowa County Hospital District for the year 2020. Unanticipated revenues of $650,000 and unappropriated funds have allowed for additional unforeseen operating expenses in the amount of $650,000.   

Ladies met for their November 2020 Hospital Auxiliary meeting to continue plans for future months.  The birthday project was discussed, and members volunteered to buy gifts for gift sack or sacks each month for the residents.
