A man killed in a crash early Friday morning on Highway 287 north of Eads has been identified as Christopher W. Northcutt.

Northcutt, of Amarillo, Texas, was driving a full-sized pickup that was involved in the crash that also included two semi tractor-trailer units. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Kiowa County Coroner Jimmy R. Brown.

Highway 287 was closed in both directions until shortly before 9:00 a.m. Friday morning for investigation of the crash and cleanup. The cause of the crash and condition of the semi drivers have not been released.
