Ag stats: Kansas crop progress and condition report – week ending November 14, 2021
For the week ending November 14, 2021, there were 5.9 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 13% very short, 22% short, 62% adequate, and 3% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 14% very short, 24% short, 59% adequate, and 3% surplus.
Field Crops Report: Winter wheat condition rated 3% very poor, 6% poor, 27% fair, 52% good, and 12% excellent. Winter wheat emerged was 86%, near 87% last year and 85% for the five-year average.
Corn harvested was 95%, near 97% last year, and equal to average.
Soybeans harvested was 85%, behind 94% last year, and near 89% average.
Sorghum harvested was 83%, behind 90% last year, and equal to average.
Cotton condition rated 1% very poor, 7% poor, 41% fair, 48% good, and 3% excellent. Cotton harvested was 30%, behind 40% last year, and near 33% average.
Sunflowers harvested was 89%, equal to last year, and ahead of 80% average.
Pasture and Range Report: Pasture and range conditions rated 9% very poor, 15% poor, 36% fair, 38% good, and 2% excellent.
