Helen L. Gilman

April 23, 1938 – February 2, 2021

Helen Gilman passed away February 2, 2021, in Aurora. 

She was born April 23, 1938, in Lamar to parents Lydia and Pete Schleining. 

Helen was raised in Eads with her brother, George Schleining (deceased), and sisters, Mary Reinert, Arlene Decker, Dorothy Battaglia and Janet Laird. 

Helen was known as a phenomenal baker, gardener and homemaker.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert Gilman. They are survived by their three children, Melissa Letofsky, Andrea Michael, and Anthony Gilman, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Her family grieves her loss, but they take comfort knowing that Helen and Bob are together again.
