Graveside funeral services with full military honors for Wild Horse resident and former Cheyenne County Sheriff James E. Lafferty Sr. will be held November 24, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at the Kit Carson Cemetery.

Mr. Lafferty was born May 4, 1940, in Kit Carson and passed away November 11, 2025, in Bakersfield, California.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kit Carson VFW Post #3411.
