Janice was born October 26, 1941, at Eads to Raymond and Hannah (Kelley) Eder and passed away February 7, 2026, at the Weisbrod Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 84.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Pfingston; brother, Marlin Eder; and niece Marlynn Eikenberg.

Janice is survived by her children, Dawn (Milton) Watts of Eads, and Darla; grandchildren, TJ (Tiff) Watts, Trice (Brittani) Watts, Talli (Tom) Lane and Tanaia Hansen; and great-grandchild, Mathias Lane. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Carol Orr of Pueblo West, Shirley Pfingston of Colorado Springs, and Margaret Richmond of Florida; cousin, Ralph (Stephanie Hofmeister) Berry; nephew, Lonnie (Debbie) Eder; as well as numerous cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Weisbrod Health and/or the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune, Kansas, either direct or in care of the funeral home.

A graveside memorial service for Janice M. Pfingston will be held at 10:00 a.m. February 17, 2026, at the Eads Cemetery with Todd McCaughey officiating.
