A celebration of life for lifelong Eads resident Andrew Douglas McCracken, affectionately known to his family and friends as Andy, will be held at 10:00 a.m. August 17, 2024, at the Kiowa County Community Building in Eads with Pastor Lane Gooden and Debbie Gooden co-officiating. Interment will follow at the Pioneer Cemetery in Eads.

Visitation will be held August 16, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Praise Community Church in Eads.

Andy was born August 17, 1962, at Eads to Douglas and Lois (Reinert) McCracken and passed away August 11, 2024, with his family by his side at his home at the age of 61.

He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, James Talley; and brother, Darrell Ray McCracken.

Andy is survived by his wife; Kathy McCracken of the family home in Eads; children, A.J. (Ciara) McCracken of Eads, Tyler (Kelsey Harper) McCracken of Pueblo West, and Shealynn (Rustin) Robins of Lake Jackson, Texas; grandchildren, Braydyn, James, Cally, Darsey, Brantley, Kielan, Kenna, Lexi, Nora, Taylor, Harper and Paisyn. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Walker of Eads; mother-in-law, Frances Talley of Canon City; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Andrew McCracken Memorial Fund in care of any GN Bank location.        

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
