Charles Emmert, Jr.

September 5, 1945 – July 7, 2018

Charles Herbert Emmert, Jr., 72, of Kit Carson, passed away July 7, 2018 in Kit Carson.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Kit Carson cemetery with the Pastor Lane Gooden of Praise Community Church officiating.  

Charles Emmert, Jr. was born Blythesville, Arkansas to Charles and Mary Emmert September 5, 1945.  He went to school at Blythesville.  He married Sherry Cahill March 30, 1976 in Eads.  He worked as a Town Manager for the Town of Kit Carson for 20 years.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Navy.

Charles Emmert, Jr. is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Emmert, and sisters Elizabeth Ann and Linda Mae Norris and grandson Kevin Donnell. Charles Emmert, Jr. is survived by his wife Sherry Emmert; daughters Tamara Halthon and Heather Clemente, son Sonny Emmert; two stepchildren, Cole Haworth, Mandy Kremiller, two sisters Mary Ann Bradford and Melody Carol Wright and one brother Billy Reese; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
