Jacob E. Diel

June 17, 1934 – October 27, 2018

Eads resident and retired longtime Eads High School educator Jacob Diel passed away in his home October 27, 2018, at the age of 84. He was born June 17, 1934 in Monte Vista.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Jacob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Diel; children Ginger (Alex) Padilla of Lakewood, Stanley (Nancy) Diel of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Cassie (Gene) Longwirth of Evans; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives as well as by many friends.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018, in the First Christian Church in Eads. Burial will follow at the Eads Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church in Eads or Lamar Area Hospice.
