A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Kenneth D. Callison, affectionately known to his family and friends as Ken, will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Darren Stroh officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery with full Military Honors under the auspices of the local V.F.W. and American Legion Posts.

Visitation for Ken will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 from 10:00AM until 1:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Ken was born on August 26, 1942 at Ellsworth, Kansas to Frank and Grace (Wortman) Callison and passed away at his home on October 15, 2026 at the age of 84 with his family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Callison, brother Andrew Callison and uncle Edward Callison.

Ken is survived by his wife Cathy Callison of the family home in Lamar, CO and son Jeffery (Christine) Callison of Fairbanks, AK. He is also survived by his grandchildren Hunter Callison of Lamar, CO and Teagan Callison of Fairbanks, AK, former daughter-in-law Tia Christie as well as numerous cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church either direct at 1600 S Main St, Lamar, CO 81052 or in care of the Peacock Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Peacock Funeral Home, 209 South 4th Street. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, October 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Peacock Funeral Home, 1600 South Main Street.
