Governor Polis appoints Michael P. Halpin to the Custer County Court

Colorado Governor Jared Polis appointed Michael P. Halpin to the Custer County Court in the 11th Judicial District.  The vacancy was created by the appointment of the Honorable Amanda Hunter to the District Court and is effective November 9, 2022.

Halpin is a Certified Peace Officer in the Custer County Sheriff's Office, a position he has held since 2008. Previously, he was a Certified Peace Officer with the Colorado State Patrol (1989-2006) and a Heavy Equipment Operator and Mechanic (1973-1989).

He earned his high school diploma from Evergreen High School in 1973, and completed POST Certified Peace Officer Training at the Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy in 1989.
