Thursday, January 10, 2019, Deputies contacted a vehicle for speeding 100 miles per hour in a posted 65 miles per hour zone on Highway 96 near mile post 159. Deputies issued the driver, Bao Zhang, a summons in violation of Colorado Revised Statutes 42-4-1101(1).

Saturday, January 19, 2019, Deputies contacted a vehicle for speeding 93 miles per hour in a posted 65 miles per hour zone on Highway 287 near mile post 114. Deputies issued the driver, Oscar Maldonado, a summons in violation of Colorado Revised Statutes 42-4-1101(1).

Friday, January 25, 2019, Deputies contacted a vehicle for Careless Driving on Highway 287 near mile marker 118. Upon further investigation Deputies confirmed Heron Garcia had a Texas warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody.  Heron Garcia was transported to the Bent County Jail and was held on a $1,000 bond.

Monday, January 28, 2019, Deputies contacted a vehicle for speeding 97 miles per hour in a posted 65 mile per hour zone on Highway 287 near mile marker 104. Deputies issued the driver, Michael Calcote, a citation in violation of Colorado Revised Statutes 42-4-1101(1).
