• Deputy Negley stopped to check on a semi on the side of the road. Driver stated he was just stopped to text. Negley cleared the scene.

March 4, 2022

• 12:36 PM – Fraud-Eads, CO
• Deputy Negley responded to the 400 block of E 15th street in Eads for a report of Theft. Negley took a statement from the victim about what was stolen and cleared the scene.
• 4:00 PM - Traffic Stop-Highway 96-East
• Corporal Marlow made a traffic stop and issued a warning for speeding 10-19 MPH over posted limit.
• 4:10 PM - Traffic Stop-Highway 96-West
• Deputy Negley made a traffic stop and issued a Summons to Fredrick Redfern out of Colorado for 124 MPH in a posted 65 MPH zone, failed to display valid registration, and failed to present insurance.

• Sergeant Murdock and Deputy Wilms responded to a Tractor Trailer stopped on Highway 287. Drivers stated a tow truck was on the way, Murdock and Wilms stayed on scene until the tow truck moved the tractor trailer and cleared the scene.
• 3:19 PM - Welfare Check-Eads, CO
• Deputy Negley responded to a report of a welfare check at the 900 block of Maine street in Eads. Negley was unable to locate the party and cleared the scene.
• 6:29 PM - Traffic Accident-Eads, CO
• Sergeant Murdock and Deputy Wilms responded to Highway 287 MM 99  for a Vehicle roll over.  Deputies assisted until Colorado State Patrol arrived on scene and cleared.

• Deputy Negley responded to a report of a 911 hang up call on Highway 287 near the Cheyenne County Line. Negley talked to a male party walking down the side of the highway that did not want help and cleared the scene.

• Deputy  Negley responded to the Kiowa County Sheriff's office for a report of a child custody issue. Negley deemed the issue a civil matter.

  Deputy Negley conducted a traffic stop for speeding 10-19 over and the driver, Ryan Schneider, was wanted on charges out of Rio Blanco County.  Deputy Negley took the driver into custody and transported him to Bent County Jail.

• Sergeant Murdock and Deputy Wilms made a traffic stop and issued a citation for 82 MPH in a posted 65 MPH zone.
• 1:00 AM - Traffic Accident-Towner, CO - CR 78
• Sergeant Murdock and Deputy Wilms responded to a single vehicle roll over on CR 78 and CR A.  Upon arrival, the parties were out of the vehicle and declined medical.  The accident occurred on the Prowers County Line, and was technically in Prowers County.  Deputies assisted Colorado State Patrol and cleared.

• Sergeant Murdock and Deputy Wilms made a traffic stop and issued a citation for 82 MPH in a posted 65 MPH zone.
• 4:36 PM - Abandon Vehicle-Eads, CO
  Sergeant Murdock and Deputy Wilms responded to the 15000 block of Luther for an abandoned vehicle on private property.  Deputies searched for the required information and sent the owner a Notice of Tow and Removal.
• 7:37 PM – DUI-Highway 96-East
• Sergeant Murdock responded to Highway 96 MM 172 for a report of a possible drunk driver.  Murdock found the driver and initiated a stop for driving 87 MPH in a posted 65 MPH zone and failing to maintain his lane.  Marcus Camacho of Bristol, Colorado was arrested and taken to the Bent County Jail on the following charges: 42-4-1301 (2) (a) Drove vehicle with Blood Alcohol Content of .08 or more, 42-2-138(1)(a) Drove Motor Vehicle when license under restraint (Suspended), 42-4-1101(1) Speeding 20-24 mph Over Prima Facia Limit, and 42-4-1409 (3) Failed to present evidence of insurance on request.

• Deputy Negley responded to CR 49 and CR E for a single vehicle rollover.  The vehicle was abandoned, and deputies stayed with the vehicle until the Colorado State Patrol arrived on scene.
