Kiowa County Sheriff’s deputy promoted to Sergeant

Kiowa County Sheriff Bryan Williams has announced that K-9 Deputy Avery Snover has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Snover’s promotion was effective January 10.

Snover is a 2018 graduate of the Otero Junior College (now Otero College) Law Enforcement Academy in La Junta.

Shortly after completing his studies, Snover began his career with the Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office before transferring to the Bent County Sheriff’s Office in March 2020. He returned to KCSO in May 2022 where he has continued to serve.
