Motorcyclist dies in Teller County crash
A 66-year-old Florissant man died late Thursday afternoon following a head-on crash in Teller County.
According to Master Trooper David Conway of the Colorado State Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m. on Teller County Road 11. The motorcycle the unidentified man was riding was traveling too fast for the area and drifted into the on-coming lane where it collided with a vehicle driven by a 37-year-old woman from Canon City.
The woman received moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The motorcyclist died at the scene of the crash.
Speed is being investigated as a factor in the crash. Alcohol or drug use are not suspected.
