Notes from the Kiowa County Clerk and Recorder
Thank you to all the Election Judges that worked before, during, and after the November 5, 2024, General Election. Election judges (officials) are the real heroes of an election with willingness to dedicate time to making democracy work. Election judges are the gateway through which citizens pass to cast their votes and play a critical role in safeguarding very important information.
Your hard work and dedication made the election process go smoothly in Kiowa County and is appreciated more than you will ever know! The Kiowa County Clerk’s Office could not do all that needs to get done without every election judge dedicating the time necessary to make democracy happen.
Thank you to Kiowa County Chief Deputy Roland Sorensen and Deputy Clerk Traci Uhland for all that you do, not only during elections, but every day for the hard work you do for the citizens of Kiowa County.
Congratulations to all Kiowa County voters who made their voice heard in this election. Kiowa County voted their ballots in the following ways:
- Drop Box – 443
- Mail – 149
- In Office- 278
Total ballots cast show that 85 percent of Kiowa County voted.
Kiowa County Offices will be closed the following days in November:
Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 for the Thanksgiving Holiday to allow our employees to spend time with their families. Happy Thanksgiving!
