NRCS Eads Field Office Hosts Local Workgroup
Natural Resource partners, farmers and ranchers encouraged to attend
USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) wants to hear from you. The Eads NRCS field office and Kiowa County Conservation Distirct are hosting a local workgroup to help identify agricultural and natural resource issues within the community. This workshop is open to the public and feedback provided will help direct Agency programs. Landowners and other conservation partners are encouraged to attend. The Kiowa County Local Workgroup will be held on May 18, 2016, at USDA Service Center, 409 E Lowell Ave, Eads, CO, at 7:00PM
This is just one workgroup hosted by the conservation agency. NRCS will coordinate with local conservation districts to hold numerous sessions around the state. Each meeting will be announced locally and will focus on community input.
Local Work Groups are subcommittees of the NRCS State Technical Committee and they meet annually to provide recommendations on local natural resource priorities to assist USDA NRCS in providing Farm Bill conservation programs in Colorado.
Participants can be agricultural producers, owners of private agricultural lands (including non-industrial private forest land and representatives of agricultural organizations), environmental organizations, and governmental agencies carrying out environmental, agricultural, or natural resource conservation programs and activities.
