Connie Lou Peek

July 2, 1945 – February 27, 2022

Connie Lou Peek, 76, of Adrian, Missouri, passed away February 27, 2022, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Connie was born July 3, 1945, in Eads, to Oral D. and Margit G. (Olson) Parker.   

She was united in marriage to Sammy C. Peek October 28, 1962, in Eads.  They had lived in Peculiar, Missouri and Osceola, Missouri, before moving to Adrian six years ago.  

Connie had worked as a lab manager for several doctor’s offices in Kansas City. 

She also helped Sam with his mowing service, Sam Peek Mowing Service, for 20 years. 

Connie enjoyed sewing and crochet, and of course, taking care of Sam.

Connie was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; son, Stacy; grandson, Joshua; two brothers, Paul and Gene; four half-sisters; and two half-brothers.  

She is survived by her husband, Sam Peek, of the home; sons, Sammy Peek (Rita) of Peculiar, and Troy Peek (Kriss) of Maple Grove, Minnesota; sisters, JoEllen Bullock of Friend, Nebraska, Pat Jones of Pueblo, Lora Bentley of Garden City, Kansas, Linda Hagins of Carthage, Missouri, and Emma Vocke (Luke) of Montrose; brothers, Jack Parker (Bonnie) of Wichita, Kansas, and Norman Parker (Joyce) of Dighton, Kansas; grandchildren, Cortnie Sanders (Cory) of Sedalia, Missouri, Jacob Peek (Jana) of Peculiar, and Kaycee Peek and Zackary Peek, both of Maple Grove; step-grandchildren, Cassie Lillig, Chelsea Lillig (Cody), and Shelby Lillig (Joseph); great-grandchildren, Travis Sanders, Keaton Sanders, Jayden Peek, Jackson Peek, and Teagan Peek; step great-grandchildren, Kingston Dukes, Ophelia Lillig, River Watson, and Nash Watson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held March 5, 2022, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri.  Burial was held in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri. 

Arrangements were under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home.
