David Lyon, 75, of Eads, Colorado, passed away on August 18, 2026, at his home.

David was born on August 1, 1951, to Lowell and Dorothy Lyon. He grew up with a strong connection to farming and ranching, which remained an important part of his life. Throughout the years, David also worked as a truck driver, a career that reflected his hardworking nature. On August 20, 2000, David married Beverly Lyon. Together, they built a life centered around family, friendship, and the people they cared about most. David especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and valued the many memories and relationships he made throughout his life.

David is survived by his wife, Beverly; his sons, Chad (Jennifer) and Gavin (Renee); his stepdaughter, Kim; his brother, Jim; his sister, Vickie; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.  David was preceded in death by his father, Lowell; his mother, Dorothy; his sisters, Karalyn, Maralyn, and Valerie; his stepson, Jason; and his sister-in-law, Sheri.

David will be remembered as a hardworking man who spent his life farming, ranching, driving truck, and, most importantly, enjoying the company of his family and friends. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the family he leaves behind.

There will be no public services held.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Quarter Horse Association.
