Johnny Allen Stavely, 77, respected veteran and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away January 16, 2025. Johnny was born June 19, 1947, in La Junta to John and Elda (Davis) Stavely.

Raised in Colorado, Johnny attended elementary school in Haswell ,and later graduated from high school in Eads. His commitment to excellence and service led him to graduate from the United States Air Force Academy, where he took the first steps towards a distinguished military career. Johnny served in Vietnam as a navigator on an F4 fighter jet, displaying exceptional courage and steadfastness that would define his character for the rest of his life.

After his military service, Johnny pursued a career in real estate and greatly enjoyed working in the industry. He married his sweetheart, Carrie Stavely, December 22, 1994, in Eads.

Johnny's happiest moments were spent fishing and with his family, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter. His unwavering support for the Democratic Party and Denver Broncos spoke volumes about his loyal heart, and anyone who knew Johnny praised his generosity and willingness to help those in need.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elda Stavely, and brother, Bruce Stavely.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Carrie Stavely of Branson; sons, R.J. Stavely (Lauren Esquivel) of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and Tyler Stavely (Danielle) of Saline, Michigan; brothers, Charles Stavely, David Stavely (Jamie), and Paul Stavely (Cherrie); sister, Franci Cain (Don); eight grandchildren, and one great granddaughter; along with many friends and extended family.

Interment will be at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
