A memorial service for longtime Eads, Colorado resident, Kathleen Kay Shade, affectionately known to her family and friends as Kathy, will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 1:30PM at the Living Covenant Church in Lamar with Pastor Rick Beard officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Kit Carson Cemetery in Kit, Carson.

Per Kathy’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.

Kathy was born on November 5, 1956 at Eads, Colorado to Gene and Charlotte (Ritchie) Lynn and passed away on August 21, 2016 at her home in Eads with her family by her side at the age of 59.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Shade of the family home in Eads; children, Brandon (Ryan) Shade of Woodbridge, VA and Audrey (Adrian) Torres of Evans, CO; grandchildren, Cayden, Camryn and Brant Shade all of Woodbridge, VA and Saige and Brooks Torres of Evans, CO and her parents, Gene and Charlotte Lynn of Springfield, CO. Kathy is also survived by her siblings, Rita (William) Ownbey of Hutchison, KS; Donald Lynn of Eads, CO and Judi Lynn of West Union, OH as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice and/or Sarah’s Home in care of the funeral home office.
