Leslie M. “Les” Rittgers

A service of celebration for longtime Eads, CO resident, Les Rittgers will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday November 5, 2017, at the First Christian Church of Eads with Pastor Mark Iemel officiating.

Per Les’ request, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.

Leslie M. Rittgers affectionately known to many as Les was born on June 17, 1945, in Denver, Colorado to Rueben Rittgers and Jane Keopsal-Rittgers and departed this life on Saturday October 21, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs at the age of 72.

Les was preceded in death by his parents, by one daughter – Lisa Rittgers; by a grandson – Reilly Rittgers, as well as by his father- and mother-in-law.

Les is survived by his wife Kathryn Rittgers, his children, Jennifer Schofield; Becky Rittgers, Robert (Jackie) Rittgers all of Eads, and Leroy (Shanna) Rittgers of Pueblo; by nine grandchildren; one great grandson and by one sister, Lucille (Laverne) Burkhamer of Wisconsin as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church of Eads or to the Eads Golf Club either direct or in care of the funeral home office.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Funeral Home in Lamar.
