Shirley Ann (Thomas) Lofdahl passed away May 7, 2026, at Lincoln Community Hospital in Hugo.
She was born April 29, 1943, in La Junta to Orval Lee and Ozella Rene (Wheeler) Thomas.
In 1973, she married James (Jim) Roy Lofdahl, and together they raised three sons. As time marched on, their family grew with grand- and great grandchildren, and just recently learned of the exciting news of a great-great grandchild on the way.
Shirley was a very talented cook and enjoyed experimenting with new recipes. Shirley looked forward to family gatherings, and was known to prepare well in advance. The joy of her life was being a mom, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, brothers, Keith and Leslie, and sisters, Jane and Charolette.
Shirley is survived by her sister, Levina (Phil) Robertson; sister-in-law, Daisy Thomas, sons, Joe (Brenda) Mayo of Haswell, Greg (Cindy) Mayo of Timnath, and John (Cindy) Lofdahl of Kearney, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held May 13, 2026, at the Boyero Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
