  • Wild Horse Roundup- Curtis Schrimp: Weekend for wildlife: our neighbor spotted a bobcat, a big coyote has been hanging around the ranch, and Marty seen a very large flock of snow geese flying their ‘V’ formation.
  • Sara Mays received a nomination to the US Military Academy at West Point from Colorado Senator Wayne Allard and Ken Salazar and Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave.

  • Wackenhut Correction Corp. will not be building a private prison in Kiowa County. The lack of water and sewer capacity, low employee base, and lack of housing were the primary factors in the decision.
