Parks and Wildlife Offers Help to New Hunters
Are you new to big game hunting in Colorado? If so, chances are you’re not sure where to begin. With terms like “hunt codes” and “preference points” getting a Colorado big game hunting license may seem daunting.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife District Wildlife Managers have a plan to help decode the mystery at a big game application workshop.
"The application process may seem a little confusing, especially if it's your first time, but we'll walk you through the entire process and help you understand it," said, Steve Cooley, district wildlife manager.
The workshop will be held on April 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. at CPW's Southeast Region Office at 4255 Sinton Road. Class size is limited to 40. Interested persons may register by calling the southeast region office at (719) 227-5200.
The workshop will cover the big game license application process, preference points and will share some tips regarding the annual big game license drawing. You’ll be able to leave the workshop with your 2016 application complete. Computer access will be provided, or you may bring your own.
The 2016 application deadline for the limited, big game license draw is April 5. For more information call (719) 227-5200.
