An earthquake registering 3.8 on the Richter Scale shook the San Luis Valley Wednesday at 8:38 p.m. according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, which occurred at a depth of about 10 miles, was centered 13 miles north of Blanca, or about 67 miles southwest of Pueblo, just outside of the southern boundary of the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Alamosa County.

As of 5:30 a.m. Thursday, the USGS said 34 people had reported feeling the quake.

No damage or injuries reports have been received.

Earlier in the month, Glenwood Springs was the site of a 3.1 earthquake. That quake followed three others that occurred in December.
