ARIZONA 

The 2020 Arizona average farmland real estate value, a measurement of the value of all land and buildings on farms, was $3,850 per acre. This is an increase of 1.3 percent from 2019 and 1.9 percent from 2018. The average value of cropland and irrigated cropland was $7,650, up 0.7 percent from 2019. Pasture values were not published for Arizona to avoid disclosing data for individual operations. 

Average cash rent for irrigated cropland in Arizona was $275.00 per acre in 2020, up $26.00 from the previous year. Average cash rent for pasture was $2.40 per acre in 2020, up $0.40 from the previous year. 

COLORADO 

The 2020 Colorado average farmland real estate value, a measurement of the value of all land and buildings on farms, was $1,590 per acre. This is an increase of 1.3 percent from 2019 and 1.9 percent from 2018. The average value of cropland was $2,200, up 1.9 percent from 2019. The average value of irrigated cropland was $5,300, up 3.9 percent from the previous year, and the average value of non-irrigated cropland was $1,370, unchanged from the previous year. Pasture values were unchanged from 2019 at $845 per acre. 

Average cash rent for irrigated cropland in Colorado was $142.00 per acre in 2020, down $9.00 from the previous year. Average cash rent for non-irrigated cropland was $28.00 per acre in 2020, down $1.00 from the previous year. Average cash rent for pasture was $6.20 per acre in 2020, up $0.10 from the previous year. 

MONTANA 

The 2020 Montana average farmland real estate value, a measurement of the value of all land and buildings on farms, was $915 per acre. This is unchanged from 2019 and down 0.1 percent from 2018. The average value of cropland was $1,030, down 1.0 percent from 2019. The average value of irrigated cropland was $3,000, down 0.3 percent from the previous year, and the average value of non-irrigated cropland was $825, down 1.2 percent from the previous year. Pasture values were unchanged from 2019 at $680 per acre. 

Average cash rent for irrigated cropland in Montana was $85.00 per acre in 2020, up $3.00 from the previous year. Average cash rent for non-irrigated cropland was $28.00 per acre in 2020, up $1.00 from the previous year. Average cash rent for pasture was $6.70 per acre in 2020, up $0.10 from the previous year. 

NEW MEXICO 

The 2020 New Mexico average farmland real estate value, a measurement of the value of all land and buildings on farms, was $575 per acre. This is an increase of 0.9 percent from 2019 and 1.8 percent from 2018. The average value of cropland was $1,600, up 3.2 percent from 2019. The average value of irrigated cropland was $4,370, up 4.0 percent from the previous year, and the average value of non-irrigated cropland was $475, unchanged from the previous year. Pasture values were up 0.7 percent from 2019 at $420 per acre. 

Average cash rent for irrigated cropland in New Mexico was $136.00 per acre in 2020, unchanged from the previous year. Average cash rent for non-irrigated cropland was $18.00 per acre in 2020, up $0.50 from the previous year. Average cash rent for pasture was $3.00 per acre in 2020, up $0.20 from the previous year. 

UTAH 

The 2020 Utah average farmland real estate value, a measurement of the value of all land and buildings on farms, was $2,450 per acre. This is an increase of 1.2 percent from 2019 and 6.1 percent from 2018. The average value of cropland was $4,040, up 1.8 percent from 2019. The average value of irrigated cropland was $6,440, up 1.3 percent from the previous year, and the average value of non-irrigated cropland was $1,470, up 5.0 percent from the previous year. Pasture values were unchanged from 2019 at $1,240 per acre. 

Average cash rent for irrigated cropland in Utah was $101.00 per acre in 2020, down $7.00 from the previous year. Average cash rent for non-irrigated cropland was $28.00 per acre in 2020, up $4.00 from the previous year. Average cash rent for pasture was $4.90 per acre in 2020, up $0.60 from the previous year. 

WYOMING 

The 2020 Wyoming average farmland real estate value, a measurement of the value of all land and buildings on farms, was $750 per acre. This is an increase of 1.4 percent from 2019 and 3.3 percent from 2018. The average value of cropland was $1,540, up 1.3 percent from 2019. The average value of irrigated cropland was $2,470, up 1.6 percent from the previous year, and the average value of non-irrigated cropland was $840, unchanged from the previous year. Pasture values were up 0.9 percent from 2019 at $580 per acre. 

Average cash rent for irrigated cropland in Wyoming was $82.00 per acre in 2020, up $1.00 from the previous year. Average cash rent for non-irrigated cropland was $16.00 per acre in 2020, unchanged from the previous year. Average cash rent for pasture was $5.00 per acre in 2020, up $0.60 from the previous year.

The United States cropland value averaged $4,100 per acre, no change from the previous year. The United States pasture value averaged $1,400 per acre, no change from 2019. 

Average cash rent for irrigated cropland in the United States was $216.00 per acre in 2020, $4.00 less than the previous year. Average cash rent for non-irrigated cropland in the United States was $126.00 per acre in 2020, down $1.00 from the previous year. Cash rent for pasture in 2020 averaged $13.00 per acre, unchanged from the previous year.
