Ag stats: Kansas crop progress and condition summary – week ending April 10, 2022

For the week ending April 10, 2022, there were 5.5 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 31% very short, 28% short, 40% adequate, and 1% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 33% very short, 30% short, 37% adequate, and 0% surplus.
Field Crops Report: Winter wheat condition rated 12% very poor, 20% poor, 34% fair, 31% good, and 3% excellent. Winter wheat jointed was 20%, behind 26% last year and 27% for the five-year average.
Corn planted was 5%, near 7% last year, and equal to average.
