All Things Plainview – December 31, 2023
December 18-21 was packed with activities at Plainview School. We had dress up days: crazy hat/socks day, ugly sweater day, green and red day, and pajama day.
The staff Christmas party was Tuesday night at the Towner Hall. We enjoyed a catered meal of Mexican food (fajitas, refried beans, corn, and dessert tacos); we played Christmas trivia and exchanged presents.
Wednesday, the students unwrapped presents from their secret Santas.
Wednesday night, Cheri Hopkins directed a very successful Christmas program.
Thursday, December 21, was the last day of school before the holiday vacation. Students played games, did activities, and watched movies. The elementary students watched The Polar Express, and the high school watched Inkheart.
Enclosed in this installment is a QR code. Access it to find out more about the school’s newsletter.
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year.
A special thank you to all those who provided pictures for this installment: Misty Harkness, Jennifer Wilson, and Cassie Frey (whose pics I grabbed from FB).
