In observance of Labor Day, most City of Lamar offices will be closed Monday, September 1. Additional details include: 

Building Closures

The City of Lamar offices, City Complex, City Clerk's office, Community Building, Public Works office, Lamar Animal Shelter and the Community Resource and Senior Center will be closed Monday, September 1, in observance of Labor Day. The Lamar Public Library will be closed Saturday, August 30, and Monday, September 1. All City offices will reopen Tuesday, September 2 for regular hours. 

Landfill

The City of Lamar Municipal Landfill will be closed Monday, September 1, and will reopen Tuesday, September 2, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. 

Residential Trash Pick-up

• Residential refuse collection for Monday, September 1, will remain the same. Please have containers in place the night before or before 6:00 am. 

Commercial Trash Pick-up

• Commercial refuse collection for Monday, September 1, will remain the same. Please have containers in place the night before or before 6:00 am. 

Cardboard Route 

• Cardboard collection for Monday, September 1, will be collected Tuesday, September 2. 

Police, Dispatch, Fire & Ambulance Services will maintain regular hours. For non-emergency needs, call Prowers County Dispatch at 719-336-3977. 

NOTICE

August’s Free Dump Weekend is Saturday, September 30, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and Sunday, August 31, from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. 1 load limit per day at transfer station.
