The staff of Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site cordially invites the community to attend our Holiday Open House on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the park administration office located at 910 Wansted Street, Eads.

Our dedicated superintendent, Alexa Roberts, retired on October 31st.  Alexa was instrumental in the establishment of the Sand Creek Massacre NHS and served as Superintendent since its public dedication in 2007. She has been an active member of the southeast Colorado community serving on committees and boards throughout the area, including Canyons & Plains of Southeast Colorado, Kiowa County Historic Preservation Commission, Otero County Historic Preservation Advisory Board, Bent’s New Fort Foundation and many more.

At our Holiday Open House, we ask you to come join us in wishing Roberts well before she leaves the area and retires to her native New Mexico.  Holiday refreshments will be served.

For more information, contact Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site administrative office at (719) 438-5916 or visit nps.gov/sand and join us on Facebook.
