CSP investigating hit and run crash near Rocky Ford
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a hit and run crash which occurred Saturday in Otero County near Rocky Ford.
According to CSP Trooper Joshua Yoder, the crash occurred just before 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of Colorado Highway 50 and Otero County Road 21. A Dodge Ram pickup was traveling northbound on County Road 21 and did not stop at the intersection with Highway 50.
The pickup collided with a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, causing the Suburban to flip. A passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured in the crash.
CSP is attempting to locate a Dodge Ram between the model years of 1994 and 2002, possibly metallic green. The front bumper will have damage, and the black plastic along the top and bottom will be missing. The front grill will also be missing, and there may be damage to the headlights as well.
